Kindle Paperwhite 11th generation cases — the 6.8" size

The 11th generation Paperwhite is the 2021, 2022 and 2023 model, and the Paperwhite Kids built on the same body. Its screen is 6.8" and it is not the same size as the Paperwhite that came after it. Every design in this collection is cut for it, and every design is also made in 7" and 6.0" — you pick the size on the product page.

How do I know if I have the 11th generation?

On the Kindle, tap the three dots, then Settings → Device Options → Device Info, and read the Device Type line. If it says 11th generation, this is your collection. If you would rather not go digging, the model is also printed in small type on the back of the device near the bottom, and the size guide maps every Device Type to a size.

Why this matters more than it should

Amazon kept the Paperwhite name across two body sizes. The 11th generation (2021–2023) is 6.8"; the 12th generation (2024–2025) and the Signature Edition are 7". Side by side the difference is about half an inch, and that half inch is the difference between a case that closes flush and one that sits loose, rattles, and will not hold the magnets. If your Kindle is more than a couple of years old, check Device Info rather than guessing from the shape — it is the single most common cause of a return here.
