Kindle Size Guide

Here's the short version: our Kindle case fits two models — the 7" Paperwhite and Colorsoft (2024–2025) and the 6.8" Paperwhite (2021–2023). It's one case for both, so there's no size to choose on the product page. What you do need to check is that your Kindle is one of those two.

Find your model in 15 seconds

  1. On your Kindle, tap the three dots in the top right.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Device Options.
  4. Tap Device Info.
  5. Read the line marked Device Type — that's your model.

No Kindle to hand? The model is also printed in small type on the back of the device, near the bottom.

The bit people get wrong

The basic Kindle and the Paperwhite are easy to mix up, especially if the Kindle was a gift. The basic Kindle has a 6" screen and a smaller body, and our case will not hold it properly. If Device Info says Kindle without the word Paperwhite or Colorsoft, this case isn't the right one.

The easy part: the 6.8" Paperwhite, the 7" Paperwhite, the Paperwhite Signature Edition and the Colorsoft all take the same case, so if you have any of those, you're covered.

Still not sure?

Email contact@casenoir.com with your Device Type (or a photo of the back of your Kindle) and we'll tell you straight away. We reply within one business day, Monday to Friday.
