Which MacBook Do I Have?
Five sizes, and two of them are almost the same width. Two minutes now saves posting a case back to us later.
The fastest way to check
Click the Apple menu in the top left, then About This Mac. The model name and size are on the first line — “MacBook Air 13-inch, M3” or similar. That is your answer.
On older machines the same information is under Apple menu → About This Mac → More Info.
Every model we fit
| Model | Width | Height | Depth |
|---|---|---|---|
| MacBook Air 13.6" | 12.19 in | 8.65 in | 0.81 in |
| MacBook Air 15.3" | 13.61 in | 9.53 in | 0.83 in |
| MacBook Pro 13.3" | 12.19 in | 8.53 in | 0.91 in |
| MacBook Pro 14" | 12.50 in | 8.87 in | 0.99 in |
| MacBook Pro 16" | 14.21 in | 9.92 in | 1.04 in |
The two mix-ups worth knowing about
MacBook Air 13.6 and MacBook Pro 13.3
Identical width, to the hundredth of an inch. The Pro is very slightly shorter and noticeably deeper — 0.91 in against 0.81 in. Measuring the width will not tell you anything useful here; check About This Mac instead. This is the one people get wrong.
MacBook Air 15.3 and MacBook Pro 14
Different enough on paper, close enough in a bag that people misremember which they own. The Air 15.3 is more than an inch wider.
What we do not fit
MacBook Pro 15-inch and earlier, the 12-inch MacBook, and any MacBook Air 11-inch or 13.3-inch from before the current body. If your model is not in the table above it will not fit, and we would rather lose the sale than send you a case that sits proud at the hinge.
Does it block the ports or the vents?
No. Every port, vent and button stays open — the case is cut around them rather than over them.
Is it easy to take off?
It snaps on and off in seconds, with no tools. You can move it between the top and bottom panel, or take it off entirely for a service appointment, without anything to unscrew or peel.
Still not sure? Email contact@casenoir.com with the line from About This Mac and we will tell you exactly which case you need — before you order, not after.
