• Material: 100% PU leather (vegan), Saffiano texture
• Three sizes — pick your Kindle model above
• Magnetic front lid with auto sleep/wake
• Soft TPU inner shell with full back, side and corner protection
• Brushed dark-gray fabric-lined interior
• Interior elastic hand strap
• Print on the front cover only; back panel is plain matte black — see Made to last below for why that matters
• Opens to the left, Kindle mounts on the right interior panel

Please note: the magnets in the lid activate the Sleep/Wake feature on your Kindle device.

Why the design is on the front only

When you open a folio case to read, the front cover folds all the way back and rests flat against the back panel. If both sides are printed, those two printed surfaces rub against each other every time you open and close the case — several times a day, if you actually read.

Print wearing on print dulls both. On a double-printed case the design typically goes patchy within about six months, right in the middle where the two panels meet. So we print the front and leave the back a plain matte black: the back takes all that friction with nothing to lose, and your design stays sharp for years.

Why we don't make clear cases

Clear cases are transparent TPU or polycarbonate, and both yellow as the plastic reacts to UV light and the oils on your hands — starting at the corners and edges where you hold it. If you read outside or leave your Kindle near a window, it can start showing within a few months, and it can't be cleaned off because the discoloration is inside the material.

Our color is part of the material rather than a coating over clear plastic, so it stays the way it looked on day one. More on that here.
